Deep amber with a decent, off-white head. Sweet, bready malts and caramel, with some slightly yeasty berry fruits and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear amber with a dense off-white head leaving a little lacework. Caramellish, nutty aroma. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, typical British yeast character and a subdued bitterness. 270413

Bottle from Waitrose Sunningdale shared at Jack and Leightons birthday pleasantries, 13/04/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is dark fruit, malt, sugars, light toffee. Taste comprises dark fruits, malts, toffee, brown sugar. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dryish finish with light bitterness. So so drinkable gubbins but nothing to return too!

Bottle at Jack & Leighton’s birthday celebration, thanks to Colin. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is earth, brown bread, wood, leather and some dark fruit. The taste is earth, leather, wood, dark fruit, brown bread and light bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nothing wrong with it, just a bit boring.

Aroma: Slightly hoppy with orange notes, caramel and licorice. Appearance: Orange copper, very clear, fast diminishing rocky head with no structure. Taste: Attack is smooth and tasteless. Slightly acid with tiny caramel notes. Pretty refreshing and light but no accent is sticking out. A thirst quencher with no characteristic of a good beer. Just drinkable, no taste but no default.
