Aroma has cocoa, some semi‐dark chocolate and coffee notes. Also hints of oak. Flavour has oaky notes, some stinging cognac, coffee notes and dark chocolate. No CO2 at all, which makes this a bit flat.

15/12/2012 on tap @ GEIB (Vintage 2009). Nera, impenetrabile, densa, schiuma totalmente assente. Al naso si mostra già in cattive condizioni, ossidata, con sentori di malti tostati, cioccolato, caffé, vaniglia. In bocca è piuttosto monotona, dolciastra, cioccolatosa, piatta. Corpo medio, carbonazione quasi assente. Pessima, impresentabile, da riprovare.

330 ml bottle courtesy of Marsiblursi. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a rather small dark mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with lightly roasted malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, wood, indonesian soy sauce, leather, raisins in rum, sweetened coffee, charred coconut, alcohol, vanilla fudge, . Taste is slightly sweet, malty and tiny fruity with roasted malts, high quality dark chocolate, sweetened coffee, alcohol, raisins, resinous wood, roasted coconut, vanilla fudge, lemon zest, coffee, sweet liquorice candy, prunes and leather. Mouthfeel is round, tiny tart, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with roasted malts, dark chocolate, pine, lemon zest, sweet soy sauce, coffee, vanilla fudge, resinous wood and sweet liquorice candy.
