An arabier is a pure malt beer 8°vol/alc brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness is declining with the time. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C. Cheers!

Bottle from an online shop, drink while preparing for late-May glacier skiing (hopefully the weather plays nice). Medium amber, huge sea foam on top. Heady and bready nose, complex yeast notes, nice and estery. Flavor is full of medium caramel weaving into the complex mix; great bubbly mouthfeel and huge body. It's like a Belgian circus of traditional flavors, with a nice smooth hoppy bitter finish balancing the sweetness very well.

Bottle at home in Hackney - can’t recall where I got it. Bottled December 2010. Pours clear gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Nice yeast expression, bready malts, biscuits, meringue, citrus, candi sugar, white bread crust. Moderately sweet, hints of husky bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Very little warmth in the finish, nice bready sweetness. Drinks exceptionally well overall, nice layers, complexity. Has aged gracefully.

Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a massive thick pure white head with lots of lacing. Beautiful looking beer. Aroma is very yeasty and hoppy with stone fruits, exotic fruits, apples, pears, coriander, floral notes, pine notes, candy, bubblegum. Taste is very bitter, hoppy, peppery, spicy with orange and lemon peel, grapefruit, apples, pears, coriander and bubblegum. Lively carbonation is prickly on the palate. Dry grassy very bitter finish. Very unique and fresh beer with a big bitterness on the finish. it’s a nice one.

Beer-Shoop.it 02.11.19

Bottle. Golden hazy color, with a huuuge thick white head, lacing. Aroma is hoppy, some honey. Taste is hops, fruity, spicy, mineral. Full body, soft carbonation. Bitter, definitely. Great beer.

Bottle at Poechenellekelder. Light cloudy blonde colour, massive fluffy white head. Aroma is big citrus hoppiness, bit yeasty too. Quite floral. Very nice. Taste is nice and bitter, lemon, bit boozy, but lovely slow hoppy fade. Always a goodun.

Golden color, hazy with a big frothy head that lasts. Citric, intensely hoppy aroma. Good lacing. A firm, almost oily and peppery hopbitterness. Vanilla and tannines. Dry mouthfeel. Very long hoppy finish. This very complex beer should become more honeyish in a few years. I would like to try it by then.

12-07-19 // 2011 bottled version clear amber without yeast sediments. Minimal floaties. Nose mild oxidized. Sweet caramel sugary. Spice herbal touches. Very malt forward. Still high carbonated. Roasted caramel. Sweetish malty. A mild oxidized note but subtle. Still good to enjoy. Hop aromas are obviously faded. Minimal bitterness present. Pouring the yeast sediment the mouthfeel is softer but also more harsh and unbalanced.
