A thin tan head on a deep brown/black body. The nose starts with damp wood, then rich chocolate, mild coffee and a touch of molasses. Chocolate fudge, dark berries, fresh coffee, almonds, hazelnuts, and warming bourbon are well blended primary tastes. Vanilla, oak and molasses add to the profile. Rich and sticky. The taste thins a touch faster than the great ISs, but this is a really, really good one for a small brewery.

Bottle from the brewery. Lovely Aroma! Bakers chocolate, dark roast coffee, vanilla, woody Bourbon, sweet noir on, hints if spice and some dried coconut. Silky mouth feel, great carb. Medium bitterness, amazing Bourbon flavour. It’s not over the top, just enough so you know it’s there. Semi sweet vanilla, loads of great savoury coffee. Extremely well balanced, I loved this.

Power tasting at Erik's
Black colour, small brown head. Roasted malt aroma, dusty coffee. Ok body strength, low-ish level of sugars, roasted malt and coffee flavour, rather monotonous, with a bit of green pepper and alcohol kick in the finish.
Quite good.

Dark brown. This has a chocolatey accent, with a light bit of fruitiness, and a fair bit of coffee. Fairly full body. Lots of coffee. Quite a bit of bitterness. It's bitter, definitely.

Bottle - Dark chocolate with nice bourbon notes. Jet black with a decent beige head. Dark chocolate and some woody bourbon notes. Solid.

Pours a real dark brown colour, almost black, with a bubbly-milky mocha-coloured head, smaller, but gives a creamy thin lace and some top to the brew. Bitter 90% cacao aromas with some dark fruits undertones, molasses, nuttiness and vanilla. The taste shows the oak barrel flavours over the chocolate, roasted malts. The bourbon adds a little sweetness and dark fruitiness, but is mildly blended. Yes, just well-blended overall with nothing too sharp. Coffee is hard to find in there. Enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral coffee notes with black chocolate notes with apparent bourbon and vanilla notes. Taste is a mix of coffee notes with no astringency with some residual sugar notes and black chocolates notes with some nice bourbon notes to round off any rough edges from this beer with light vanilla notes also noticeable. Body si full with nice oily texture and good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Solid BA stout and probably best beer from this brewery.
