Oakes' Manor tasting; vintage 2009, 8-9 years old
Golden color; deep aroma, demerara sugar, apples, some sourness. Syrupy mouthfeel, the apples develop a deep caramel flavor, touch of toffee, hint of stewed apples; very sweet with relatively low acidity.

200ml (O_o) bottle at Josh's on his 20k party. Pours a copper with no head. Aroma is very sweet apples with some oak notes. Tastes like on oil with some acidity and very sweet apple notes. Very good.

200mL bottle, pours a clear caramel colour. Aroma brings out lots of caramel apple, toffee, brown sugar, and stewed apples. Flavour is beautiful, with lots of stewed apples, caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Lovely complexity and stewed apples. Delicious.

Dark amber. This has a little bit of sort of woody, odd, note on the nose, but lots of sugars as well. Rich, delicious with a buttery brown sugar note. Buttertart. This is really nice.

Bottle: Poured a deep dark copper color cider with an oily like texture. Taste of sweet apple is quite intense but still well balanced and not overly sweet. Complex notes of apple pie and brown sugar caramel are really interesting while being also easily drinkable.

A lighter golden ice cider. Stronger aroma of cooked apples, chalky notes, mineral. In mouth, much lighter bodied than Le Glacé, more restrained, some nice alcohol warmth, a bit of mint. Bottle at Fête Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 4 2009.
