Boxed (cylindrically) capped 500 from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a slight dark tan smear for head. Aroma of chocolate, heat and vanilla. Smells more like port than bourbon. At least I don't have COVID at the moment! Very near full bodied. Heat is very much in the mix. Rather clean oak notes, and it is bourbon, not port. Chocolate. Vanilla. Heat is pretty strong, but with the other flavors, which are not weak, it's under control. Wowser!

A well-integrated Bourbon pairs beautifully with caramel, chocolate and molasses to give a complex and well malted olfactory. Fruity esters with notes of prunes and raisins complete this already varied palette. The effervescent but quite persistent mocha-coloured foam covers a black and opaque liquid. A combination of Bourbon and creamy chocolate serves us an extremely warm mouth starter. The notes are very varied and range from creamy caramel to powerful dark chocolate through molasses, prunes, raisins and coffee. All coated with a strong and powerful alcohol, making the liquid very warm, perhaps a little too much. The body is very full but not as smooth as it should be. The carbonation is very soft, which helps to inflate the roundness of the body. There is almost no bitterness and the finish is a mix of sweet and alcohol. But despite everything, this beer remains quite delicious and wonderfully complex.

Nicely presented beer with the artwork and print included. Classy and feels like it’s going to be special without the need to risk loosing a finger on crazy fake wax like some beers. Visually it’s black with a small tan head. Aroma of boozy bourbon, oak, caramel, vanilla, chocolate and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with boozy alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Bourbon BA aroma, widely disguised, dark, caramel and chocolately malty background, notes of dark caramel, toffee, some vanilla, whiffs of cocoa. Taste is slightly dry woody, sweet-ish caramel malty, minimally alcoholic, Bourbon impregnated, notes of dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, some toffee, vanilla, a touch of dark chocolate and cocoa, overtones of roasted nuts; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Viscous texture, smooth, soft and silky, slightly cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well crafted, slightly too much BA dominated and therefore a bit monotonous - good but not outstanding. The artwork - box, poster, label - is exclusive.

Bottle big thanks to my brother. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, oily, vanilla, chocolate, fresh bourbon barrels, oily, toasted coconut, bourbon biscuits, bounty, fudge, oak, maltesers and mars bar. The taste is slick, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, spicy, untuous, hard roasted malt, chocolate, mars bars, nutty, cacao nibs, light umami, nice bourbon vibes, toothy, chewy, some warming alcohol and oak with a slick, roasty finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Nice BA impy stout. Moreish.
