330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is raisin, caramel and alcohol. Taste has heavy toffee, caramel and molasses. Some coffee on the finish.

Dark red colored beer with high head. Aroma contains hints of cereal and not much else. Light bitterness, medium sweetness. Full body, medium carbonation.

Fles geprobeerd op vakantie. Het is een helder donkerbruin bier met matig schuim. Aroma van chocolade en koffie. Volle smaak, drop, pruimen en een beetje zoet.

Botella 33 cl en la antigua Internacional Oviedo. Fdcpref 29..06..2001. (r488). Sabores dulces ligeramente tostados. Cuerpo medio a intenso con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio. Pastosa ligeramente espesa. Buena. La mejor de la serie.

33 cl bottle served in Grimbergen chalice. Pours dark crystal ruby red (the colour reminds me much more of Hobgoblin ale than any quadrupel I remember). Head is off-white to tan, poorly lacing, bad retention. Aroma is a little estery (nail polish) and loads of fruits: strawberry, redcurrant, cherry, banana. Taste is sweetish, tart, fresh and a little metallic. No bitterness. Mouthfeel is fizzy, medium-bodied, short-lingering. So-so: not bad, not good either.

Pours brown/dark red with a frothy off-white head. The aroma contains malt, caramel, spices, dark fruits and alcohol. It tastes medium to heavy sweet towards the finish, light sour and light bitter. Full body and oily texture. Very alcoholic finish. A bit off-balance. Definitely a dessert beer.

Donkerbruin, helder bier met matig schuim. Aroma van chocolade, pruimen en koffie. Volle smaak. Drop, fruit en een beetje zoet. Bier om rustig van te genieten.
