50 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Brown (rather than black) colored, with a beige head. Very (dark) malty/grainy aroma, nutty and somewhat roasted. Flavor is lightly malty sweet. More body than youβd expect from 5%. Light bitter finish. Nice, clean-tasting malty beer, but you can hardly call this a Schwarz.

Draught at the brauhaus
Dark brown color with amber shades. Extremely light aroma of roasted nuts and goulash, bread; it may sound weird, but itβs fine. The flavor is quite good, with a good mix of caramel, roasted malt, malt; there is a very light presence of sugars in the beginning to support the body, but correctly itβs a bit drier in the end, allowing for the light coffee vein to appear more, in the end. Well brewed, well balanced.

Bottle at Kent BF 2010. Very dark brown colour. Slight diacetyl on aroma. NBot much of anything in the mouth. Mostly fizzy toffee water. 4.9. Re rate on tap at Eckerts Bamberg. Its still a milk chocolate led achwarz. Bit ite better today. Decent body. Decent bitterness on the finish. Malty. Not particularly dark. More dark brown. Given this blind I might have said a best bitter. Except the esters aren't there. But other flavours are. Maybe a premium bitter. Its ok. Better than before.

clear dark brown, thick smooth creamy very light brown head. aroma is breadish, rye, dusty, caramel, faint nutty. faint butter, reminds me of chekish beer. flavor is slightly sour, buttery, bitter, faint floral hoppy, in fact, this doesnβt taste very good. some roasted grains in there, but it is overshadowed by mild fruity and bitter notes.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Dark amber brown colour, off white head. Aroma of malts, some nuts, a hint of liquorice and some butter. Flavour is light sweet, malts, caramel, with a nice light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Almost a refreshing beer.

Bottled. A brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
