Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA - its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. Its nickname, Hop3, comes from the brewing process: our brewers hop Loose Cannon in the boil, the hopback, and the fermenter. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.

bordering on the dipa strength, this one gives off mostly a grapefruit aroma and flavor, a west coast hop bomb of an ipa, good color and body, some floral notes but mostly grapefruit.

Pours a transparent amber with a good slightly off-white head. The aroma is pine, grapefruit, floral hoppiness, honey and caramel. It’s not a terribly hoppy beer, but it’s relatively assertive and pleasant. The taste is on the sweet "East Coast" side of DIPAs. The caramel malt flavor is a bit strong for me, but it finishes with some citric bitterness. Medium carbonation, slightly slick finish. It’s easy to drink and refreshing, but there’s not really enough there to merit a higher score for me.

Sample from a growler from Liquor Express. The pour is a light gold with a medium foamy off-white head. The aroma is citrus and floral hops, malted wheat, and spices. The flavor is very bitter, but amazingly balanced and smooth. The palate is crisp and clean, fair carbonation and a little acidic. Overall, a great bitter beer, smooth and delicious.

Bottle thanks to drowland. Pours clear amber with white head. Nose and taste of caramel malts, pine and hops. Bitter finish.

Cask gravity GBBF 2010. Gold, slight haze, some bubbles. Some hop, some syrupyness on the alcohol. Bit plain to be honest.

Cask@GBBF2010. Goldeny amber colour with not much head. Aroma is fruits, wood, herbs and some mild nectary notes as well as bicuits. Flavou ris wood, fruits, earth as well as some mild sour wooden notes.

Hazy gold beer. Residual suddy white head. Light dry palate. Lovely fresh semi sweet hops. Sweet pineapple and pine and a trace of mango. Finishes dry with a little spice. Really nice IPA - loads of hop but nicely judged.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head. Pleasantly sweet, hoppy aroma. Tastes sweet, hoppy, malty, spice, caramel. A really delicious IPA that I drank a lot of at GBBF. Great stuff.

Cask@GBBF 2010. Cloudy bronze beer with a light bubbly head. The aroma is reasonably hopped, and the flavour is very well florally hopped. Overall a nice very strongly hopped beer.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours hazy amber with a decent foamy off-white head. Strong floral/fruit aromas. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is strong grapefruit with a lot of floral. And malt. It is very nice. Very hoppy indeed, though barely harsh. Eventually the grapefruit gets lost in tropical fruit and floral. Extremely tastey ale.
