[2/21/15] Draught at Toronado in San Diego. Clear yellow-ish gold. Nice aroma full of juicy apples, a funky hint and a sulphury note. Sourish-bitterish flavor with a sweetish note, rather dry, with apples and an alcoholic hint. Nice.

tap at Dash In - Thsi cider smells of green apples. It’s light and mildly sweet, a definite tart character, and a dry finish. It’s well done and for me was more of a slow drinker than the typical draft cider.

Draft. Berry and apple juice aroma. Pale yellow. Sweet apple juice, light berry and lightly bitter herbal flavor. Good.

Draught @ The Ginger Man, NYC. Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with small white head. Clear aroma of apples, sugar and cinnamon. Sweetish flavour of cinnamon and ripe apples. Sweet aftertaste. OK but nothing revolutionary.

Draft at State&Lake at the Wit Hotel, downtown. I finally got to bite into a Virtue Cider. And on a hotel bar tap, too. Color is lighter than the lightest beer out there, with a short, fizzy head that’s gone as soon as you blink. Smell is kind of pale, with just a slight tang of apple juice. I found the taste to be rather light, with tart apple in the back of my throat, just a touch of sweetness. It resists your attempts to swig it down, inviting introspection instead. Seems very fully attenuated, although the abv is no more than most beers.

Bottle shared @ Top Hops.
Pale, clear, ginger ale body. Somewhat active.
Perfumey pear & acidy apple peel on the nose. White wine.
Taste is bittersweet. Leafy/herbal. Soda fizz that dies pretty quickly. Touch of dessert apple sweetness. Somewhat yeasty. Small bit of tartness. Mellow acidity. Noticeable sulfites. Calcium/minerally dryness.
A bit too herbal for me. I don’t really get that old wood or hard water taste I associate with English ciders either. Pretty decent though. As long as the price tag is kept in check I will seek these ciders out.

Pale yellow with fizzy head. Tart apples, fresh, light wood notes, sweet sugars. Very carbonated. Lightly dry but refreshing. Nice from top to bottom.

On tap at the Hill Farmstead Harvest Festival VIP event, Vermont. Pours clear, very pale yellow. Lovely cider from start to finish. Moderately dry with fresh apples, light sugar, mild tartness. Moderate funk in there, light acidity. Stupidly clean and fresh. One of the best American ciders I’ve had.

A pale yellow cider with no head. In aroma, nice fragrant apple pulp with light chalky notes, very nice. In mouth, a light mineral tart apple with chalk, acidity, apple skins. On tap at Mash Tun Festival, May 19 2011.

Sampler @ the GI Clyborn location. The color is pale straw. Aroma is drying, slightly acidic, and fruity apples. Well balanced not sweet and very well done for an English style. Flavor is fruit forward than good dryness and mineral apple without the sweet. I really enjoyed this cider.
