Towering, just off-white head, over clear copper-amber beer, finely carbonated. Sweet, caramel, raisins, grape syrup, oxydated hops. Bitter, hops and some roast, and caramel, utterly in unbalance, instead of counterweighing. Again kind of grapey, but as concentrate. Fiery MF, feel also as from diluted grapesyrup. Medium body. A try-out? Try again, this lacks every balance. Thanks to Stef!

Bottle. Pours very, very foamy . Medium dark amber, relatively unclear. White, dense, stable (and huge) head. Scent still is very intense though, all the good hoppyness we know and love ( at least, I do ) of Hoogheid. Malty. Very natural aroma in general. Taste is surprisingly bitter. very malty (cornflake like) . Intense yeast impression as well. Not very Belgian like yeast, but yeasty nevertheless. High carbonation ( lowered by the big head already, so I'd say its a bit overcarbed ). Decent, but no match to the real deal

Hazy dark blond colour with big foaming head. Aroma has lots of mandarin juice. Flavour is similar and has some grassy notes too. Dry but not overly bitter.

29 November 2019. At Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Cheers to the lovely Anke, tderoeck, 77ships & Ghent beer crew! Clear golden, no head. Aroma of plum, apricot, gooseberry, starfruit, lime, bit funky. Taste has sour starfruit & gooseberry, bitter straw, grapefruit peel, biscuity maltiness. Dry, tart, bit funky finish, lingering maltiness & soft bitter fruit. Slightly alcoholic. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Hard to pin down stylewise, but good.
