We brewed this beer with a serious amount of oats for a velvety mouthfeel.

We added a more than decent amount of hops during whirlpool, fermentation and right before lagering. (Hallertau Blanc and Citra)

Furthermore we saturated this beer with nitrogen, adding to the softness of this NEIPA.

4 January 2020. At Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy orange, lasting, foamy, white head; lots of lacing. Aroma has ripe mango, lychee, orange peel, sorbet, citrus air freshener, peach; alas a bit off over time, hinting at wet laundry. Taste has sweet ripe mango, lychee & dank onion on top of biscuity malt, bitter grapefruit & stonefruit ending in dry, piney & floral hoppiness, lingering juicy, candied & dank fruit. Medium body, oliy texture, soft carbonation. I can appreciate dankness but this time that aroma couldn't entice me.

New England style IPA by Dok Brewing Company, launched at Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2019 but tasted from nitro tap at Dok's own premises in Ghent. Very densely creamy, typical nitro-tapped, regular, egg-white, utterly stable head, cloudy 'dirty orangey' peach blonde, seemingly a tad oxidized already after little more than a month in the keg. Aroma nevertheless still very bright, with impressions of orange flesh, marmalade, caramel, candied peach, mango chutney, sweet onions, light sweaty note growing stronger in warming up. Sweetish, cleanly fruity onset, candied mango, marmalade and lychee aspects with a vague sourish undertone, soft 'nitro' carbonation and typical 'nitro creaminess'. A slick, lovely biscuity malt body is aromatized by the hops, with again these mango, candied orange and lychee impressions, but also with a dash of sweaty 'dankness'; bit powdery in the end, with a subtly peppery bitterness. The nitro tap treatment adds creaminess and softness that actually enhances the natural creaminess of the style, though I can imagine some will find this des Guten zuviel; for me it worked and I sure enjoyed this one.

Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is full, tropical, mild grains. Taste is creamy, fruity ( mild tropical ) . Fairly creamy. Decent NEIPA, top notch in the current Belgian offerings though.
