Dream State is a decadent stout weighing in at 9.5%. Brewed using eight different types of malt, this rich slick stout is perfectly paired with the autumnal weather. We used Madagascan cinnamon in the whirlpool to bring a touch of warm spice, figs during fermentation to add bright red fruit flavours and steeped roasted almonds in the tank for 3 days, adding a deep and complex nutty flavour.

440ml can. Pours black with a dense beige head. Aroma of figs, cinnamon, nuts, chocolate. Taste of spicy cinnamon, figs, chocolate, roast malts, slightly nutty, dark fruits, plum, warming and bittersweet. Medium-full body. Decent Christmassy stout, wish the figs were more prominent.

30/XI/19 - sample @ Day 2 of Billies Craft Beer Festival 2019, BB: n/a - (2019-2100) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!

Aroma: very roasted, bit sweet, alcohol, caramel notes, malty, grains, hay. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of alcohol, lots of chocolate, sugary, some caramel. Aftertaste: alcohol, sugary, chocolate, nice roast, sweet, some mocha, coffee.
