Bottle 0,5ltr at Torschuster, Bamberg: Orange hazy coloured Hefeweizen, with some spicy, citric and banana taste, one of the better ones.

Tap@ Café Morshuis Albergen. Flowery aroma with a hint of cherry. Thinnish. Flavor has marzipan, raspberry and an upcoming milky and citric sourness. First signs of infection, perhaps? Hops are restricted to the background. Good thirst quencher with some bite.

500 ml bottle from Bierothek Bamberg. Very fruity nose, peaches, banana, orange, some tropical fruit too. Deep amber orange, hazy. Spicy, fruity, sweet flavor. Cantalope melon, peach, apple, banana. Spicy and a bit peppery. Very different from a traditional weizen. A bit syrupy and slightly too sweet for me.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 5.5%. Hop is Hallertauer Tradition. Hazy orange to brown colour, small off-white head. Strong aroma of ripe and over-ripe bananas, also hints of cloves, brown bread and caramel. The flavour is first citrussy, followed by cloves and banana, some caramel, very moderate hops. A very nice and drinkable hefeweizen.

Sampled draft @ TCBW 2018. Darker than expected amber, creamy head. Nose is huge banana, sugar, caramel. Massive banana, sugar, caramel, sugar, thick creamy puree. Well-made but too sweet banana for me, too much sugar.

Tap at TCBW 2018. Pours amber with whiteish head. Aroma is very sweet, fruits, banana, wheat. Flavor follows the nose. Overall: okish, too sweet.

Tap@Beavertown Extravaganza 2017, London - yellow golden pour with a white head. Sweet malty and wheaty citrus fruity notes, some doughy yeasts, some grassy hop nuance, banana, into a sweet finish.

09-09-17 // taster, draft. At Beavertown Extravaganza 2017, London. Only german brewery at the Festival. But a nice Mahrs Hefeweizen is always a nice treat inbetween heavy beers. Great banana smoothness with a well blanced spice note. Good.
