Bottle at home, cellared this one for two years. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is intense rye spicyness, lots of chocolate and cocoa, basically a chocolate rye bread. Taste is sweet, slightly spicy, chocolatey, bready, malty, very much my cup of tea. Medium bodied, it’s only lacking in this aspect, a slightly bigger body wouldn’t hurt. Pretty fucken decent anyway.

Tap @Luppolo Station in Rome-Italy. Black ink pour with a tick and regular brownish foam. Nose: milk chocolate, (strangely) whiskey, licorice. Mouth has more of a licorice feel indeed, mild coffee far away, a slightly bitter finish.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma esile. Al naso salamoia, salsa di soia, ossidata. In bocca va un po' meglio, ma rimane comunque ai limiti della bevibilità. Corpo pieno, carbonazione soft. No.

20/5/2021. Bottle from Beer Republic online store, accompanied by Marillion's Estonia. And This Strange Engine. Twice. Needed a few long prog tracks to savour this one over. Poured rich very dark brown, almost black with a purple tint and a tan coloured head. Aroma is roasted, malt, dark chocolate, prune, nut, rye bread, fruit cake, slight smoked meaty notes. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Super sipper. And is true.

Bottle. Pours a thick black with a very small head. Aroma is rye, molasses, caramel, chocolate, forest berries, dark malts. Medium to big body, very thick and luscious body. Flavour is lovely dark malts, especially chocolate malt, prunes, fig, rye and spices. Very lovely Baltic porter, balanced, rye, berries.

Bottle. Basically black color with dark beige head. Aroma is dark rye bread, dark chocolate, mild roast, not too complex, but the rye really gives some extras there. Taste is chocolate, mild roast, such balance. Very smooth doughy-bready mouthfeel, velvety. Really great stuff, as expected from a Pühaste Baltic Porter.
