One of the 3 Hungarian classic desserts we recreated as a thick sour. Rákóczi Túrós is a stylish layered cake your Hungarian mother would carefully bake for special family events. Thanks to the balance of real apricot and vanilla, it never gets flat or boring!

Bottle, koszi Marci! Nose is apricot jam, some vanilla, surprisingly some smoky touch. Taste is heavily, but not overwhelmingly sweet, there’s apricot, vanilla and a malty touch, some booze. Long sweet finish, soft carbonation, medium to heavy body. Not so cake-y, but definitely a tasty and fun dessert beer.

0.33l can. Opaque orange body with a white head. Aroma of apricot, lemon juice, salt and some bready malts. Taste of apricots again, lemon zest, bready malts and lactose. The dessert that inspired this beer is one of my favourite traditional sweets of Hungary and the beer would go well with it. I enjoyed this one.

Kicsi, gyorsan eltűnő hab, narancsos szín. Gyenge, édeskés, barackos, vaníliás illat. Édes-savanykás, barackos, vaníliás ízek, talán egy leheletnyi sóval. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, alig keserű. Az alkohol tartalma ellenére könnyen iható, kellemes sör.

Can. Hazy orange color with hardly any head. Aroma is apricots, vanilla, jammy, almost too much. Taste is the same, basically kompot. Mineraly bite, low carbonation. Decent!

Can courtesy of Steve Matthews from the White Hag Birthday box, cheers! This was shared with the Ratebeer München group Friday 26th November 2021. Intense tart fruitiness, apricot is evident but vanilla less so other than softening and a little creamy. Ok

0.33 can. :) becsületből megittam... a végére egészen megszoktam. Annyira nem rossz ez.

The beer is a very nice autumn-orange color, there was not much foam. Yeasty, peachy sweet aroma, this is not bad so far. The beer is very sour and at the same time cool. A concentrated, strange, vanilla, diarrhea-like mixture. There are definitely people who like these, but it's not me. :) I drank it out of honor... I got used to it by the end. This is not so bad.

Tap@Erlings Jazz- & Ølbar, Aarhus (14/08/2021) - light hazy golden orange with a white head. Ok, an imperial pastry gose beer, has a initial sour tart tang in the intro with the apricot and vanilla sweetness coming to the fore, medium plus body, definite gose salt cutting into the apricot and vanilla lingering close. Interesting --- Beer merged from original tick of Rkczi Trs on 26 Mar 2025 at 12:25 - Score: 6.
