Opaque dark brown beer, residual pale tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Soft dark chocolate malts. The barreling brings wet wood and slightly bitterish bourbon. Ripe fruits. Modest spice on the finish. Decent but the slightly tired barreling prevents top notchedness!

Bottle. Black colour with brown reflexes. No head! Aroma is vanilla, cocoa, some whiskey and toffee. Alcohol well hidden. Light bitterness. Full body, not cloying, still carbonation. Solid.

0,1l taster thanks to Sander. black color, very small coffee colored head. smells earthy, tobacco, some dried fruits, light molasses, some spices, marzipan, bit nutty. nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, herbal, leathery, peppery, bit boozy, light ash, some bitter chocolate, light marzipan. finishes rather roasty bitter with notes of earth, peppery and some marzipan notes. quite good but also not totally convincing, rather on the bitter side, but quite drinkable none the less

Draught at Gollem in Antwerp, thanks Johan for sharing. Polish BBA stout with lightly lacing, large-bubbled, pale yellowish beige, irregular but largely stable head and ink black robe. Aroma of hot chocolate sauce, bourbon, vanilla-ish oak, pipe tobacco, coffee liqueur, cinnamon, toffee, cappuccino, kahlua. Sweet onset, candied dates and raisins, touch of blackberry-ish sourishness, medium carb, thick and supple body, oily. Very chocolatey, nutty and toffeeish malt body, toasted bitterness but in all more sweet than bitter, with a warming, refined, complex and long finish in which the nutty and toasty properties of the malt are generously adorned with bourbon as well as a spicy hop bitter note and noble, elegant oaky tannins. Very well executed, very 'American' in its make-up - in fact, had I not known that this was made in Poland, I would have easily ascribed it to some American craft brewery. Modern, rich and technically at a high level.

Draft glass @ Gollem. Black with almost no head, mocha bubbels. Nose is harsh booze, varnish, molasses sweet and some sort sauce. Taste is harsh booze, soy sauce, varnish, heavy, Umami,... Soy sauce body, soft carb. Yikes, DEF worst of 3 BA versions. Total varnish soy sauce affair.

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wrocław). Czarne, nieprzejrzyste z subtelną, brązową pianą. W aromacie delikatna, słodka nuta szlachetnego alkoholu, czekolady, pralin. W smaku czekolada, mega kakao lekko gryzącym ale mega przyjemne w odczuciu, ciut palonosci. Piwo mega gladkie, ulozone, zbalansowane, gęste, oleiste że świetnie ukrytym alkoholem i delikatnym słodkim, beczkowym, subtelnie waniliowym posmakiem. Świetny RIS.
