Perun Baltic Porter tips it's hat to an English porter but with a Polish influence. It's all here, oily black unctuous feel with notes of chocolate, coffee, caramelized sugar and liquorice.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ Hoppy Loft. Black, dark brown. Nose is very heavy coffee in a very vegetable way, bark & liquorice. Taste is interesting, heavy bark, candy, plastic, smoked meat, gravy but in the end too gravy & soap for me, plant heavy. Thick almost umami. Interesting but not fully my thing.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Dark, dark brown, opaque, with a loose ring of khaki head. Coffee and chocolate notes with some basil and poppyseed. Bittersweet and herbal taste, with the sweetness asserting itself more in the finish, but never losing the balancing bitter bite. Sweet/savoury herbal touches in the aftertaste alongside coffee and liquorice. A fuckin’ masterpiece.

Bottle picked up at Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, consumed at Fairport Annual Reunion, Saturday 12th August 2017. A creamy textured light beige head sits atop a dark brown body. Smooth stout, a little creamy in the mouth, a little watery it’s a tad underwhelming, A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark, small bubbly beige head. Aroma bears some sweet hints, liquorice and dark fruits. Taste has a similarly moreish dubbel-like sweetness with dates, chocolate and dark malts. A nice end to the evening.
