Tap at Valentine's, Barnard Castle. Red colour, short-lived fizzy pink foam head and aroma of strawberry, jammy. Taste is sweet, strawberry flavouring, berries, some rhubarb hints, sugary. Syrupy mouthfeel, light bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet jammy finish.Very sweet and artificial.

Keg @ Malthouse, Ironbridge. Pours a vivid clear red. Aroma has artificial assorted red berries. Clean, sticky sweet, artificial berry fruit juice. No resemblance to cider at all.

A quick one in the lobby of the hotel, pours out a nice dark burgundy, clear, flat. Hard candy aroma, sweet. Taste is more of the sugar candy, fake berry flavors. Refreshing, more like a soft drink.

Keg at the Dog and Gun, Syston. An alarming shade of magenta, clear, no head. Plastic, sugary artificial aroma. I'm getting a Disneyfied version of the advertised fruits. Taste is better but oh so sweet to the cloying finish where there's a touch of rhubarby tartness. Not for jjsint.

Keg @ White Lion, Wellington. Pinkish-red with a clear carbonation. Sweet with its strawberry best in its nose, rhubarb is tangy in its taste.
