75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Feb 18. Pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma is medium-sweet, malt. Taste is fairly sweet, clean, a touch syrupy, bit strong-tasting and sugary. Bit too sweet for me, not sure I could manage a full bottle of this.

Bottle courtesy of dad consumed at Somers Wood Caravan Park, nr Coventry and Birmingham, with Dad and Pauline Saturday 7th October 2017 Crystal clear gold colour with a white head. Malty and boozy, it's a big beast of strong golden 'Biere de Garde'. Yes it reminds me of a Crucial Brew or something similar when I was of a certain age, i.e. it does the trick, it's ok but if I was 18-20 I would love it. A7 A5 T5 P2 Ov12 3.1

750ml corked and caged job. Lidl. Clear gold. Nicely dense, last, just off white head. Nose has cereal grain. Bubblegum and banana esters. Hint of hop spice. Taste is on the chewy sweet, estery side of things. Has a light, metallic bitterness. Medium body. Pretty smooth. Finish turns grassy bitter. Factor in the price (under £3), and this is decent.
