On tap chez gibb in rouyn Noranda. Jet black pour mm beige head. Intense Aroma of roasted, burnt malts and strong dark, almost burnt coffee. Silky mouth feel, luscious carb. Finish is medium to highly bitter, with a strong coffee finish, and intense roast. Great stuff. An important stout/cold coffee combo.

Thnx to Bart. pours black, medium sized tanned head. Smell is roasty, coffee. Taste is sharp, roasty, dry, burnt, malty, dark chocolate. Bit ashy. Medium body and carbo. Bit boozy.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Jet black with tan head. Lots of espresso with underlay of dry dark cocoa, mild alcohol. Could have one, but not more than one.

On tap at Muted Horn Berlin. Comes with a deep, dark and opaque color and a wonderful (nitro) head. Decent nose of roasred malts and coffee. Taste is much more intense than the nose expected. A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads ground coffee, cherry, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with loads of coffee, licorice notes, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Lupulus.

Big thanks to David S. 750 ml. bottle sampled. Dark ruby brown, massive mocha head. Nose is roasted coffee all the way with low chocolate. Very thick roasted coffee, coffee beans, bit sweet with low chocolate, coffee dominates everything, touch earthy sweet. Coffee body.

Tap @ Thin Man. Black coloured. Coffee, roasted malts, choc. Soft, smooth, some sweetness. Very creamy. Finish is slightly bitter. Good stuff.

Bottle - thanks Youri! Pours opaque mahogany, medium creamy tan head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is strong coffee, ashes, tobacco, molasses. Flavor is medium sweet, medium plus bitter, huge coffee and light cocoa. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Original review text: Bottle thanks to Youri! Pours opaque black, light fizzy brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, ok lacing. Aroma is coffee dominated, mocha with a hint of woody earthiness and dirt. Flavor is light plus sweet, fully bitter, light plus acidity, heavy roasted coffee bean. Medium light body, high -- too high -- carbonation. This one is too amped on coffee and too carbonated to be enjoyable.
