Keg at CBC Islington - London. Pours clear golden orange with a creamy, off-white head. Big, with lots of wood, vanilla, caramel, earth. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Hot and sticky on the finish. Heavy-handed but a little fun, too.

24th July 2019; Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival in St Mary's Church. Cheers minutemat for allowing me to help you finish your half-pint (he was struggling with the ABV and wanted to hit a few more brews before losing his taste buds). Boozy stuff, hazy mid-brown body, wisp on top. It's a sweet, malty, bourbon bomb of a brew. We should have had this later in the session!

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2019, St Mary's Church. Pours a hazed brown, thin off-white head. Aroma has prominent bourbon, grainy malt. Taste is smooth grainy malt, big bourbon hit, boozy with some nice sweet swirls courtesy of the bourbon. Nice heavy hitter in a sea of golden ales.

Craft Islington. Keg. Hazy ambedr - brown beer, tody pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and viscous. Decent fine carbonation. Soft caramel and cream malts. Very nice bourbon barrel, trace of vanilla and a whisper of wood. Very fruity and smooth bourbon. A light tingling spice, not as much as you would credit for the hefty abv. Smooth finish. Leaves a bit of gum numb and a warming afterglow. Lovely. If you like big BBA. I do!
