Cromwell's Tap House, Shrewsbury. 24th May 2024, Cider and Sausage Fest, shared half-pint from a box. Nice Chilli vibe going through this Pear juice.

Draught at Charters, Peterborough. Very light yellow, straw really, a bit cloudy. Freshly cut pear aroma, very little chilli here. However with the taste the chilli really cones alive. Almost overpowers but then dies down a little. Light body with no carbonation. More fresh owar notes once the chilli subsides. Love this, but absolutely not for the fainthearted.

From bag-in-a-box at the Sausage & Cider Festival at The Dog & Bell, Deptford, London 03.06.22. Colour of dirty water. No head. Aroma and taste of wine gum, with hints of artificial pear. Some chili in aftertaste, as well as more winegum.

Bladder bag at the Royston, Broadstairs, 05/02/22. Pale golden with moderate white spotting. Nose is pear drop, apple orchard, light sugars, little in the way of a clue to the chilli. Taste comprises stewed pears, subtle chilli, tannins, wood. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Not bad actually ... the chilli, whilst notable, is kept to a minimum.

BIAB sample thanks for Grumbo, cheers Graham! Pale yellow colour, no head and aroma of stewed pear, juicy, some chilli hints. Taste is sweet, juicy, pear, citric, then with lots of peppery chilli heat. Medium bodied, low carbonation, warming chilli finish. Actually quite drinkable.

30/7/2021. From BIAB at the Redoubt Beer Festival, Harwich. Pours clear very pale yellow gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of stewed pears, citrus, mild chilli. Moderate sweetness, light tartness, and a big dominant chilli burn. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Bit of a surprise one, but enjoyed it.

Tap at Foley's, Leeds. Pours clear pale straw with minor white foam. Aroma: stewed pears, citrus, mild chilli. Taste: towards moderate sweet, light tart pears, then comes the chilli burn. Medium body with low carbonation. I liked it, won't be for everyone.

Box @ Wheatsheaf Beer Festival, Shrewsbury. Pours very pale. Aroma of sweet rekordelig cider. Taste has an initial perry-like sweetness, giving way to a strange umami savoury chili finish. A bit odd this.
