Bottle at home in London - picked up at Hop Burns & Black. Pours mostly clear, rich yellow-gold with a frothy white head. The aroma has some grains, wheat, ripening citrus, berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with more grainy malts, lightly toasted wheat, very mild yeast, minerals, lemon peel, apple. Light to medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Grainy finish, more apple, rindy lemon, wheat bread, hay, minerals. A little bland, and the characteristics that are present aren’t that compelling. The bottle says this is Best Before 26.11.15, so I reckon this might just be an old beer. Something of a pity.

Bottle from Good Taste, Crystal Palace. It pours cloudy deep orange with a decent off-White head. The nose is soft, juicy, apricot, soft orange, soft, wheat, hay and some marmalade. The taste is crisp, bitter, quite light, wheat, straw, orange citrus, zesty and marmalade with a dry, citrusy finish. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Good balance and drinkability. Nice one.

Keg at the Euston tap. Clouded mid orange coloured pour with a lasting creamy white head. Aroma is orange rind, banana bread, sweet wheat, light spicy hop. Flavour is composed of full creamy wheaty fought grains, spicy orange peel, little earthy, grainy. Palate is medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Maybe a little thin in the finish. OK.

Three Johns. Keg. Murky dark amber beer, small off white head. Palate is light and dry with mild fine carbonation. Dry wheaty malts. Very slight floral - soapy tone. Ripe fruits, little lemon. Mild spice. Very dry finish shows mild bubblegum ester. Okay.

Three John’s Islington. Cloudy gold white collar. Dry hop over takes the Hefeweizen character. Really hoppy and dry on the finish. Lacks a little of that fruity character. No esters.

Keg @ Euston Tap. Pours hazy orange with thin ivory head and a light weiss aroma. Taste presents scuzzy vanilla cream and banoffee pie. Nicely balanced flavours. Not bad.
