SMOKED SAISON -We’ve taken our Belgian farmhouse ale and given it a smoked twist. A subtle smokey aroma serves up layers of fruit and spice.

A really nice and mellow smoked profile in his one. Looks fine. Unclear yellow golden and a fine white head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Mellow smoked, mild citric, pale malt and some yeast in the flavor.

Bottle from Darts Farm near Exeter. Pale gold with a white head and a nice foamy mouthfeel. Up front there’s honey roast ham, followed by growing amounts of dry woodsmoke with a little lemon coming through behind. It’s interesting and unusual but by the end the dry woodsmoke grew a little too strong for me. Decent beer though.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Tom L. Slightly hazy yellow with a big white head. Nice aroma of smoked sausages and a spicy touch. Flavor is fruity, smoky, a bit spicy, with a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Nice.
