ABV: 6.2%. Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - dark malt, moderate hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruit, licorice, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast - belgian yeast, leather notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity yeast, pine - licorice, wood - licorice, fruity hoops, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Voici une belle Black IPA, crée en collaboration entre les brasseries De la Senne et Lambrate, construite autour d'une amertume saillante et très bien intégrée à une base de malt torréfié réussie. A la fois les arômes et la complexité sont plaisants. Par contre si vous n'appréciez pas l'amertume, passez votre chemin car c'est assez rock'n roll. En verre, joli brun foncé avec une mousse brune et crémeuse de 1 cm. Le nez vous met les papilles en en alerte : chocolat brownie, fruits exotiques, agrumes, résineux et herbacé s'allient joliment. L'attaque est sur une amertume saillante sur du pamplemousse, du résineux et du chocolat principalement. La deuxième bouche s'équilibre entre malt et amertume, chocolat de légères notes de café et les arômes fruités s'allient à merveille sur une belle complexité. L'arrière bouche quant à elle est sur une amertume tranchante avec pamplemousse et résineux. Le final qui aurait mérité d'être un peu plus long, revient sur une amertume tranchante avec du chocolat et des notes d'orange. A noter une petite astringence. Rien à dire sur l'alcool à 6,2 % et le sucre. Une belle bière.

Pours hazy dark brown, blackish, with a big, lasting, frothy, tan head; some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pomegrenate, red grapes, a bit stale ('urinoir'), though pushed aside by orange peel, coffee bean, walnut, earth, forest leaves & potato even, bayleaf. It tastes medium hoppy bitter, hints of grapefruit & dry, 'bitter' orange rind, after which a light malty sweetness ensues, somewhat chocolatey and nutty (peanut, walnut), with a note of coffee, yeast & brown bread; in the back, there's a basic red grape sourness. Dryish, 'dark' grapefruity, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, lingering toast. Medium to full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Too bad I got that impression of an off-note at first, but the rest of the brew is balanced and well-made.

Vom Fass im Muted Horn 2018-07 getrunken. Diese schwarze IPA hat nur eine ganz leichte Citrusfrucht- und sanfte Röstaromen. Ansonsten kann man außer das es nur moderat gehopft ist nicht viel zu dem Ale sagen. Es stillt den Durst, aber sonst ist es eher langweilig im Glas.

33cl bottle pours a very dark brown with some clumpy, sudsy white head. Nose has nice malty and bready notes, some pine and spruce, some dried orange. Flavor is the same, bready and toasty, some burnt malt, pine, spruce, dried orange peel, grapefruit now. Finishes full bodied and bitter. 8 4 7 3 14

Bottle @ Orla Holding The Hood Down pt 2, Sanderslum 2018. Pours Brown with a White creamy head. Berries, Slight ashes, minimally Roast, marmelade. Smooth and soft. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Brown color with fluffy beige head. Aroma is brown malts, leafy hops, citrusy hops as well. Taste is leafy black hops, chocolate and roast, black bread. Silky mouthfeel with high carbonation. A decent Black IPA, I guess, but I'm not a fan of the style.
