21/X/18 - 33cl bottle from a trade, shared @ home, BB: 1stQ/I/19 - (2018-1593) Thanks to Bierridder_S for the trade!
Clear orange beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, oranges, mango, caramel malts. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of citrus, some mandarins, some sweet malts, bit chemical, some overripe fruits, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: malty, grains, some caramel, bit chemical, cow fodder, bit sweet, meh. Not a big fan of this one... A little too bitter / chemical.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 01/2019.

Another new pale ale by Brussels Beer Project, the 44th experiment, tasted from tap at MEUG. Cobweb-lacing, eggshell-white, medium thick, moussy head, orangey golden blonde robe. Aroma of sweet orange juice, ripe mango, some stale armpit sweat dankness, stewing shallot, pineapple, honey, caramel, rambutan. Sweet onset, lots of mango and pineapple juice impressions, blood orange touch, vivid but ‘refined’ and in that sense fitting degree of carbonation, supple biscuity and caramelly malt sweet body; lots of fruit sweetness in the finish, ripe pineapple and mango but a softly bittering hint of citrus peel too, as well as a lingering fruit sourishness. Ultramodern fruit IPA inspired by that New England craze and not at all a bad effort in that sense, sweet, juicy and very aromatic with only very limited bittering power at 20 IBU, but with sourish and almost ‘funky’, dank aspects to it keeping it interesting

Thanks! Sampled draft @ MEUG 2018. Pale golden, creamy white. Nose is dull oily mineral, grain, almost esters. Bit bland lacking some carbonation, oily orange peel, dull, low yeast, basic orange peel, dull low sugar, oddly similar to Rise Again. Not very exciting.

F: big, egg-white, average retention. C: deep gold to amber, bit hazy. A: malty, toasted, caramel, tropical fruits, orange. T: caramel malty back bone, tangerine, orange, mellow tropical fruity, bit bready, nice crisp fruitiness but overall more on the sweet side, medium body and carbonation, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from the brewery.
