Amber joins the beer family of the La Cambre abbey. Caramelized malt lends the beer its coppery red colour and softness. Boasting an alcohol content of 6,5% and its low bitterness this beer reveals itself as the perfect thirst-quencher, low in sugar and not spicy.

Bottle at home. Hazy orangy colored, off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, soft caramel notes. Quite pleasant. Suitable body and carbonation. Quite a nice amber beer, you don't get these that often.

Bottle, 6.5%. Papery and caramelly aroma. Hazy amber colour. Big stable creamy off-white head. The flavour is caramelly and rather citric with a nutty and papery finish. Also some dark sugar notes, but not too sweet. Low bitterness.

Brilliant medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, diminishing to a thin layer, light lacing. Aroma toasted malts, caramel, light banana. Mild taste, malty, caramel, spicy notes. Sweetbitter malty aftertaste, more spicy notes. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, average carbonation; nice little amber, not that complex but definitely well-made.

Pours clear, mildly darker amber. No real head. Smell is bit of vegetables , yet not necessarely DMS-like. Taste is full, toasted, tad roasty. Aromatic amber features. tad bitter. Mild esthers , not too much phenols. Average Mouthfeel, medium high carbo. OK

21/XI/17 - 33cl bottle @ Horeca Expo (Ghent) - BB: n/a (2017-1925) Thanks to the brewers for today's samples and my Ghent beer posse for sharing the glasses and keeping my liver sane. :p

Clear dark blond to orange beer (not really amber though), creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, caramel, lots of banana, cuberdons candy (sort of forest fruit flavoured Belgian candy, also known as "noses"). MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty fruity, bitter touch, bit spicy, rather dry finish. Aftertaste: very hoppy, malty, hint of caramel. A bit simple (as in: not complex), but decent.
