Dark beer with spices. The 4 hops and burned malt make the beer full of taste. Extra oats give a nice body and the licorice taste is very subtle. The perfect balance between hops and spices, a warm feeling guaranteed and low in alcohol.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish mahogany with full head. Aromas of bready caramel malts and a bit of spice. Flavors of doughy malts, dark fruit and maybe some oaky whisky. These “infused” beers dont seem to deliver; either too weak or too strong on wood or booze. This one really has no whisky notes and is mostly a malty ale.

Thanks to tderoeck for sharing! Sampled @ Brugs Bier Festival 2018. Dark brown, black hue, creamy coffee head. Nose is herbal liquorice BE, herbal, bitter roots. Overly bitter herbal, liquorice, bitter roots, unpleasantly bitter,… Body is thick bitter BE syrup. Not really my style.

Clear red brown beer, big creamy solid beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, soft roast, caramel, bit of dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty, metallic bitterness, hoppy, soft roast, some caramel, lots of cow fodder. Aftertaste: bitter, malty, grains, metallic, spicy touch.

Pours hazy dark brown with a red hue and a foamy, off-white head. The aroma contains licorice, clove, roasted malt, dark fruits, hops, aniseed, some iron. It tastes medium malty/caramel-like sweet and light spicy bitter; shortish, bit metallic finish. Medium body, slick texture, soft to flat carbonation. Disappointing.
