Évaluation no 56 Janvier 2011.

Tap at the brewpub. An amber beer with a nice beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with slight notes of citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, toffee, and roasted bread, that combined with nuts gives it a dry mouthfeel.

Bottle: Poured a hazy brown beer with a huge head with medium retention. Aroma is quite light with some malts coming out of my glass. Taste is quite refreshing with a nice touch of malts. I didn’t detect much bitterness, which is unusual for the style. Overall, this is a very enjoyable beer but it won’t make history, in fact this style (bitter) will probably be seen as one the great.

Red amber colour ith a nice aroma of malts and biscuits, with light floral hops. Gout taste of malts, with lighter hops than expected, not very bitter, lightly nutty, and light butterscotch. Citrus comes out as beer warms up with some smokey notes. Medium bodied.

Golden-brown colour. Toasty, caramelly, nutty complicated aroma. Very toasty palate with nuttiness and dusty brown malt-like notes. Complex, flavourful.
