Best of the session at this bar, and not just because it's clearly named after the worshipful Deutsche Bahn Baureihe 218. Normal people may resume now. Exactly as advertised. Delicious!

16oz can pours a lightly hazy lemon yellow with a cap of sudsy white head. Nose has lemon and herbs and some honey and malt. Flavor has flowers and herbs and lemon zest and grapefruit zest. Finishes off dry. Fine.

Draught at the brewery, 9/9/21.
Lightly hazy, soft-golden-brass with a small, white head showing low-to-moderate retention.
Fruity nose with light bubble gum and plentiful pear/apple alongside juicier citrus. Gets a bit intense with the ester character and an unexpected pine resin-like note emerges, as well....
I usually love Lamplighter's IPAs, especially their NEIPAs, but this was just unbearable. However the hops were done in this, I hated it. Punchy/resinous/twangy. Completely undrinkable for me. Thick-ish, creamy texture adds sluggishness with more bread/dough character and bubble gum heaviness to top it all off. Yikes.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Grapefruit and lemon aromas. Soft with marshmallow and dry aspirin upfront turning to hot mango in the dry lasting finish.

Taster pour at the source. Appearance is cloudy, dark yellow-light brown with no sparkle, fair ring of off-white head, good retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is grape, strong, sweet citrus (mainly lemon). Taste is grapefruit over citrus. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a decent beer whose lemon aroma is a standout feature.

29/I/18 - 1Pt. can from a trade, shared @ home - BB: n/a, canned: XI/8/17, bottom of the can mentions: "IDOWHATIWANT" (2018-44) Thanks to Chris for the trade and Thomas for muling the cans!
Clear orange beer, big frothy creamy off-white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, lots of orange peel, bit resinous, grapefruit, caramel malts. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, bit oxidized, some honey, pretty bitter, grapefruit, hoppy, bit dry. Aftertaste: lots of grapefruit, bitter, fruity, very nice one!
