Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is bretty, horseblanket, dough, leather, rustic barnyard, tobacco. Taste is quince and rhubarb, dough, leathery, tobacco, very balanced. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Great!

Capped 750 from Final Gravity in Roseville, CA. Pours translucent darkish gold with a frothy/foamy white head. Aroma is earthy, woody mixed fruits. Med body or a bit better. Flavor is somewhat acidic/musty oak with lots of mixed fdruits - fruites de bois sort of thing. Not sure about the barrel, but I’ll go with white wine. Complex it is.

Bottle. Etre Gourmet. Vivid, fully hazy, deep orange. Thin and dense, lasting, semi lacing, white head. Nose is beautifully, and surprisingly, juicy. Tangerine and mandarin. Some zippy lime. Some green, leafy, basil like herb. Soft, vinegary, vinous, woody funk. Taste is citrusy bitter, with a light, vinous tartness. Bright and light mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Juicy and slightly sour, bitterness to finish. Great stuff, with plenty more to come. Glad I got a couple. I’ll give the next one a year, if I can.

750ml bottle shared with myself in the garden, from Malt Attacks, 5th May 18. Pours a off clear, golden orange, aroma is lemon, funk, spice, oak. Palate is smooth, light carnation, oily, envelopes the tongue. Taste is lemon rind, funk, tart, barrel, sherbert, wood, spice, bitter, sour lemony finish. Great complex saison, ideal for the May Bank Holiday heatwave.

Fully hazy orange-sraw beer, very finely & lively carbonated; medium but stable white head, lacey. (Preserved) roangepeel, spicy dough,; faint farmyard odours, sharpish; old wet wood. The same, if even more outspoken in the flavour. Excellent sweetish-bitterish-sour balance; even a tad peppery, yeastfeatures, fragrant herbs; Lots of citrus/orange/lemon anyway, and the rhubarb from the blurb is there indeed. Light, acidic, invigorating; good carbonation. Excellent. THIS is Saison in a stronger way. 7/4/8/4/16

The aroma is quite soft, juicy, oily, rather fruity, bright kumquat, orange sherbet and funk. The taste is crisp, dry, tart,, juicy, sherbet, orange citrus fruit, kumquat, tangerine, funk, wood an straw with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp, tart and bright. Very drinkable stuff indeed. Chuggable!
