Clear carmine red beer, small aery irregular white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: lots of vanilla, some raspberries, slightly funky, acidic impression. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: nice acidic start, lemon juice, metallic touch, raspberries, some vanilla, clean fruity notes. Aftertaste: very fruity, soft bitterness, dry, lots of raspberries, dry, little metallic.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 20 Oct 2018) Red colour with frothy, pinkish head. Fruity nose with notes of raspberries, cherries, red fruit and white bread. Malty, fruity taste with wheat, raspberries, red fruit, vanilla and a finish with a mild acidity. Light body, dry. Less tart than expected, but fresh and tasty. Quiet nice.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Pours hazy red with a thin, off-white head that quickly fizzes away. Aroma of raspberries, red jam, vanilla custard, red fruity yoghurt, unripe strawberries, wheat, lemon peel. Taste is medium fruity sour, raspberries & strawberries mixed into a jam that is faintly sugary sweet, faint vanilla popping up in the back; vague pit-like bitter notes & a lactic-wheaty touch. Tart finish, faintly herbal hoppy, lingering wheat & red fruit, almost cake-like. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Highly drinkable, nice at only 3.3%, just not too full in taste.

Pours clear pinkred, no lasting foam ( white head for a few seconds only ) . Smell is raspberry, rather fruity than the usual 'green', unripe strawberry aroma ( I strongly prefer this ) , over a tart background. Taste is tart, intense, raspberry, bit malty even, towards the backend. very full, raspberry aftertaste, with subtile notes of the vanilla. Very nice beer, especially at this ABV.

(Thx!) Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Berliner Weisse with raspberry and vanilla. Bright red, little white head. Nose is soapy red fruit, vaguely sweet & soapy. Taste is weird cleaning product raspberry, bit oddly sweet presumably the vanilla & too soapy. Vaguely sweet & soapy body. Not optimal for what it should be but manageable.
