A frothy off-white head on an orange/grapefruit juice coloured body. The nose pops with fresh citrus, a hint of fruit rind and soft malt. This is a refreshing beer with lovely fruity hop flavours - grapefruit, lemon, melon, and fruit rind. As others have noted, there is Belgian yeast and a touch of banana setting off the hoppy tastes. Caramel malt plays prominently. Hints of spice and pepper touch up the taste profile as well. Very nice!

Sweet, soapy hops, lots of grass, musty hops, cheap pale malts. has hints of tropical fruit, and yeasty esters, light to medium bitterness. Meh.

Slightly cloudy copper sheet of head. Perfume, flowers, resin and sweet hay malt nose. Taste similar, sweet perfume, and roses hops, mild resin, over fairly sweet bready malt, bitter on the finish. That is a choice.

Solid foam, stormy carbonation, golden body, purty beer she says. Aroma is heavy hops with little swampwater cabbage hints here and there. Flavour is apricot, orange zest and Irish poteen alcoholism. Medium finish, a bit oily but not too much. Solid boozer beer here, I shoulda bought a few more for a nice smashed saturday night.

Bottle from the LCBO. Hazy orange amber with a large fluffy white head that hangs around and leaves some patchy lace. Yeast is dominant over some pine, peach a bit of bubblegum along with pepper and light floral notes. Light sweet honey with a moderate bitterness and a light spice and floral notes that extend through the finish. Medium almost creamy mouth with average carbonation. Very little is typical about this, yet for me it works.

Bouteille 750ml. Couleur orangée trouble, mousse beige pâle. Arôme d’alcool, caramel, houblon fané, un peu d’agrumes. Goût de malt caramel, amertume moyenne, sucré. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense, huileuse.

This IPA poured a cloudy yellow colour with a big, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include orange, pineapple citrus, coriander, yeast and a little allspice. First sip was smooth with a nice bout of hop flavour along with citrus, bubblegum and spice. Low carbonation and nice body. Finish is spicey with bubblegum flavours lingering.

Cooked corn, spicy yeast, tart fruit. Sweet, Belgian spice, corn all over, moderate but harsh bitterness.

Was quite surprised when I picked this one up at the IGA, that it was brewed by Brasseurs RJ. Looks like a Unibroue product (Big 750ml bottle, cork and cage) except for the front label, giving it away. Smells beautiful at first, with cereal (rye, wheat) grains, Belgian Ale yeast and loads of spices. Then, the hop starts up, with some grass and rusty notes. Golden colour with a hazy created from the small tiny particules floating around. Big foamy warm cap that stays long and gives out soapy lacing. The mouthfeel is pretty standard wetness, medium-bodied, with just a little warming effect. Very violent mid-sized bubbles for carbonation. Flavours are mild and all over the place. Mild dryness, bitterness, grass, Belgian yeast, spicy malts and grains. Pretty damn good for RJ, but just missing the nice blend for the taste. Might be a good thing to cellar one.
