Bottle.
Clear copper pour, small beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, caramel, and bready malts, with some candied citrus rind. Viscous mouth feel, normal carb. The finish has big notes of orange, and the hops really come through in the end. The malt bill is huge though, and make this pretty sweet, heavy, and boozy. Not bad, but need some lightening up.

Purchased a single bottle of these at a local IGA. Pours a clean amber colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and lacing. Big grassy pine aromas at first, with hints Belgian Ale yeast. The mouthfeel is bitter, but not crazy dry. Becomes a little hazy at last pour. The taste has the hops with grassy notes, but also something else which is a little out of place. Mild sourness, sweetness. Other than that, not a bad imperial IPA with some good hoppy bitterness.

Ça sent très sucré et au goût, le malt est très présent. L’alcool se fait discret mais on cherche le côté impérial du produit...

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur orange brûlé voilé, mousse beige fuyante. Arôme de pamplemousse, houblon résineux, malt légèrement grillé, côté floral, herbes fraîchement coupées, pointe d’alcool. Goût de pamplemousse, houblon résineux, sucré léger, zeste de pamplemousse, amertume moyenne-élevée plutôt longue. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.

341mL bottle, sent from ratyger (thanks a lot, Sam), pours a clear amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out caramel malts, some piney and resinous hops, and some light herbal / vegetal notes. Flavour is very similar, but on the dryer side, without too much residual sweetness as I feared from the nose. There is a good balance between caramel malt and piney hops, but the whole thing isn't very elegant or memorable. Decent IIPA that fails to impress as much as it succeeds in avoiding catastrophe.

A hazed brown reddish ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a rather fruity Belgian malt with grassy hops, fruity esters, OK but not to style. In mouth, a strange fruity malt with dark fruits, grassy hops, licorice, OK. On tap at Hivernale, Feb. 23 2013.

Tap (Hivernale): Poured a amber color ale with a large foamy head. Aroma of big citrus hoppy notes with some cereal notes. Taste is a mix between some citrus hops with some grainy cereal notes and a vegetable finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not a beer I am likely to seek again.
