Hazy blonde, white head. Aroma of boiled cabbage, citrus, yeast. Taste of herbs and vegetable, citrus.

750 ml bottle, batch #1834, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, only slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Floral and fruity aroma. The flavour is slightly citric with a moderate to low bitterness, hints of spicy yeast, honey and yellow plums. Pleasant to drink.

Dag 5 i mitt fasadevaskprosjekt, og etter noen timer i stige og 23C er det en lettelse at dagens flaske er en av Kinns solide 0,7 (stødig levert av min støttekontakt). Lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Mild krydret aroma og smak med snille citrustoner i en silkemyk maltkropp. Vederkvegende i solkroken, særlig siden stigen er tatt ned og redskapen ryddet vekk.

On tap @ Bergen Ølfestival. Pours a hazy light yellow, with a small but creamy head. Aroma is quite acidic, with grain, hay and yeast. Body is creamy, with an effervescent but still soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet of bubblegum and oranges, balanced against acidic orange peel hay and spicy yeast. Very Belgian, and seems more towards a wit or a saison than golden ale.

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival. A yellowish golden, unclear beer topped by a dense, white, finger-thick head. Grainy and lightly citrusy aroma with some faint biscuity notes. The aroma has the same malty and citrusy elements found in the aroma, as well as some bitterness, sweetness and acidity. Nothing funky, the acidity. Medium body. Grainy finish in need of more bitterness. Well, a bit dull this one, but sort of quenching and far, far from undrinkable. 111022

On tap @ Nærbø beerfestival. Hazy yellow body with a thin white head. A bit weak on aroma, hint of fruit and spicy yeast. Quite light flavor as well, fruity, some malt, spices and yeast. Refreshing and dry, slightly acidic aftertaste with spices. Easy to drink, but not exactly my favorite style. There is also something in the flavor I can’t exactly put my fingers on, it’s kind of sour and I also found it in Slåtteøl, can’t really say I appreciate it.
