Originally rated January 2005. Sampled from their brown 660ml bottle. This beer is self-proclaimed as a spiced beer and contains the usual ingredients of water, hop, malt, yeast and then coriander, ginger, cinnamon and cranberry juice. It poured a hazy pink-orange colour that reminded me of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. The creamy head was white and left smooth lacing on the glass. Aromas were of spices and hints of fruits. The taste was medium-strong in bitterness-sourness and has a prodominance of cranberries. The mouthfeel was thin. I would call this more a fruit beer then a spiced beer, but quite good none the less.

Super clear golden/orange coloured body with an odd neon type look, and a very thin off-white head that fades fast. Aroma of strong caramel, toffee, malt, curacao (VERY strong), coriander seed and even some spruce. Light-bodied; Very acidic, almost lambic feeling with a sour taste up front then fading to a light malty and curacao flavoured finish. Aftertaste shows some malt, spice, pit fruits and a tiny bit of alcohol. Overall, a decent and fairly light belgie beer - pretty nice, actually! I sampled this 660 mL bottle purchased from some small corner shop about 2 years ago in North Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 26-January-2008.

Bouteille 660ml.

Hazy golden to rose ale with a htin white head. Nice gingerbread man aroma with sweet vanilla and mpale notes. Slightlysour grapefruits in mouth with ginger and cranberry notes, and coriander. A bit thin but nice, like a real x-mas party. Tasted at Institut’s gambrinale, Outaouais, Oct. 28 2005.

Bottle: Poured a red beer with a bubbly head that disappeared a tad too fast. Aroma is quite spicy with some sweetness in the mix. Carbonation is really good and body is medium, which is quite convenient for fruit beer. The ginger taste is quite powerful (does taste like real ginger as opposed to some flavoured ginger taste) with the sweetness from the cranberry balancing things out. Overall, this is a very refreshing beer and probably a bit underrated. I had this beer about two years ago and I see some major improvement with those products recently.

Orange coloured. Acidic. Medicinal flavours? Yeah, that's it! Overwhelmingly so. Don't know what to make of this beer, it is just far out and strange, but in no way unpleasant, and the more I drink it the more I like it.

Orangey colour and character, some medicinal flavours. Spicy, complex. One of their better beers.
