Distinctive balance between the flavours of fruity Golding variety hops, Maris Otter malted barley and demerara sugar. Strong and refreshingly long, dry and bitter finish.

Bottled. Coppercoloured, mediumsized white head. Aroma of hops, malts and fruit. Some sour notes also. Flavour is grassy hoppy with weak fruitish notes. This is just pure crap, just the like the crappy TV soap opera this most likely is named after...

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV on the label is 4.2%, also confirmed by the brewery website. Has the ABV really been 5% before and changed? or has the ABV at RB simply been incorrect all the time? Clear amber colour, large off-white lasting head. Moderate carbonation. Moderate but pleasant hoppy aroma, hints of fruits, oak and leather. Flavour is mildly spicy and fruity, slightly acidic. Tolerable hops in the finish. Refreshing and easy drinking. Not too bad for a pasteurised moderate-ABV bitter.

An orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is hoppy and slightly dusty - must be the Goldings, but it is also sweet and slightly fruity. The flavor is fruity and hoppy on a sweet background, but also hints of dust, leading to a fruity hoppy end which is slightly sticky.

500ml bottle. Dark copper colour, thin whitish head. Some green apple, also flavour of burnt toast (don’t know where that comes from) with lots of bitterness and flowery hops towards the end. Some caramel and sweetness but I can’t get past that burnt toast flavour. OK but not Black Sheep’s best

(Bottle 50 cl) Amber-coloured, slightly hazy beer with a rather massive head that laces my glass. A rather disharmonic blend of aromas with a very bitter finish. A quite special ESB. 121204

Bottle Berry and herbal nose. Red amber, low creamy head. Herbal english hops, a bit toffee. Somewhat fizzy, carbonation needs to be beat out. A bit watery, low-level aftertaste.

A bit hazy amber color. Good off-white head. English sweetish hops in the nose. Grassy flavors with well-balanced fruity (maybe mango) and honey flavors - cutted grass with honey.
