Bottle @ Ratebeer Odense Summer Gathering, 2017. Pours Black with a small head. Wood, armagnac, roast, chocolate. Vinous and slick. Woody and Dry. Warming alcohol.

RB Odense Summer Gathering 2017. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of licorice, vanilla, dried fruit and a little vineous booze. Sweet roasted flavour with hints of vanilla and dried fruit

Bottle courtesy of and shared with Tderoeck. BB 02/12/2019, batch# 2. Brune au col fin versant sur le café au lait et laissant un beau filament doré au verre. Arôme au nez malté tirant sur le grillé, caramel, et un effet Armagnac ajoutant de belles effluves fruités et presque tanniques de raisins. Petit rétro houblonné apportant une note fraiche. Palais est épais centré sur les malt chocolaté, cara et pâle, Armagnac est bien là sans être surfait et trop dominant. Le tout est agréable et ne comporte pas, comme trop souvent le cas, cet effet de levure belge qui enlève un peu du caractère recherché justement par la mise en fût. Petit amertume sur la fin avec un effet houblonné agrumes. Encore un bel effort de cette brasserie qui maitrise bien ses qcq versions barriquées. Base est le stout de Lienne Noir?

1/IV/17 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ Seb's Short Visit Home Tasting (my home) - BB: 2/XII/19 (2017-425)

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, fruity, dried fruits, armagnac, roasted, boozy, ripe to overripe banana, some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty roasted, more armagnac, fruity touch, very very boozy. Aftertaste: soft roast, bit sourish, sweet, caramel, bit sugary.

330 ml. bottle shared. Very dark brown , little tanned bubbles. Nose is walnut oxidization, boozy rich spirit - Armagnac I presume, mocha, BE yeast, old dark fruits. Taste is pleasant dark fruits BE oxidation, leaves, mocha, finishing in quality spirit, pleasantly vinous. Body is vinous, BE malt & yeast. Quite liked even though no one else did.

Bottle. Dark clear brown color. Aroma of red wine and brownies. Ligt vinous and subtle roast taste.

Thnx to ships. Pours black,’small to no head. Smell is sweet, bit wood. Bit medicinal boozym taste is full, bit ’plastic’ sweet (not as bad as it sounds though ) some armagnac. Ok.
