Pilsners were once wonderful. And then they became terrible. And now they are becoming wonderful again. As the most ubiquitous style of beer brewed ever in the history of ever, there was bound to be a fallout somewhere. The good news is that our version is the real deal. Hoppy, crisp, light, and refreshing, this lager hides no faults and delivers the goods in one fell swoop.

Can from the brewery. Clear yellow pour, with a big frothy white head. Lots of grass, hints of pine, and lots of cereals. Very crisp, super quenching, super clean. The cereals are great, and the hops are a perfect compliment. Excellent pils!

Poured from the tap. Clear blonde gold with white head. Crisp and dry biscuit malt, mild grass hops with light bitterness. Not amazing, but decently done.

On tap at Tooth and Nail, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is crisp, with bright grassy hops, straw and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is more or less the same with crisp grassy hops, sweet cereal graininess and crisp biscuity malt. Bright and vibrant, with good hopping. Very nicely made.

Pours a clean golden colour with a small off-white head, not much retention and minimal lacing. Smells like a pils with the sweet malts balanced by saaz hops. The taste shows this sweetness with the hops taking control to not be syrupy, but refreshing and slightly dry. Nothing special but a good take on the style in North America.

Can: Poured a clear blonde color ale with a nice pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with light floral hops is good. Taste is a mix of cereal notes with light dry hoppy notes with some buttery notes which I wasn’t find of. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Too much buttery notes for my tats buds.

Keg at Tooth and Nail, Ottawa. Clear golden, mid sized head. Boiled vegetables, hay and dough up front. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Doughy with distinct hay-like hops. Mid bitter finish. A bit edgy.

A pale blonde pilsner with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with grassy hops, light mineral notes, Saaz hops, nice. In mouth, a nice crisp biscuit malt with grassy German floral hops, light mineral notes, light lingering bitterness, well done. On tap at brewery.
