Towering tan-brown head over very carbonated virtually black beer. Green leaves, potatopeel, roast, meatroast, charcoal, liquorice, earthy. Bitter-earthy-roasted,with a serious bite - in the best sense of the word - but with a recognisable malt-sweet undercurrent. I get the oats, as well as the sugarsyrup. Thick-ish, dense, viscous; just under the alcohol-recognisable level Good carbonation. Can't really say why, but I like this. One I would not hesitate to order a repour. 7/4/7/4/15

Bottle sample @ LIBF’17, thanks to the RB-InBev Belgian crew for the share.

Black with thin creamy head. Aroma has some funky Brett and heavily roasted malts. Flavour is similar with smokey bitterness and dark chocolate.

Keg sample courtesy of Victor. Hazy blackish dark brown pour with a small mocha head. Roasted malts, honey Rice Krispies & light chlorine nose. Underlying rustic dark bread, cocoa & Nescafé. Tiny sweet, bitter & malty taste. Soft round mouthfeel. Fairly dry & heavy malty imp stout. Fairly cool honey hint. Light off putting chlorine in the nose. Has its up & downs. --- Beer merged from original tick of PIMP Puff Imperial Stout on 28 Feb 2017 at 07:33 - Score: 7. Original review text: Roasted malts, honey Rice Krispies & light chlorine nose.
