light hops, more grassy, and hay than anyuthing else. faint cooked vegetables, and some light malts. Flavor was watery and uninspiring. Meh.

Canned. Hazy orange colour, mid sized head. Chalky grapefruit aroma. Dryish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some cookies and grapefruit peels. Really bitter finish.

Certainly a lot better than the so called pale ale I just had from these guys. An English streaky forward ipa. Pours orangish with some head and lacing great malt profile here with crisp barley notes. Hops are bitter with light more of citrus but not super fresh or poignant. Finishes bitter and lightly salty. Bottle.

Aroma: Citrus and grapefruit mainly with toasted cereal notes. Appearance: Clear copper, average size frothy head, between light brown, and off-white, mostly lasting, no lacing. Taste: Attack is all bitterness. Grapefruit is all over with orange zest notes. Hops are very cutting with ash and smoke accents. Not a lot of malted flavors.Finish is dry, ashy and very long lasting. Very dry and bitter IPA. Couldn’t find any malt accents. If you look for strong bitterness without any sugar this your beer.

Draught, Bateau de Nuit. Reddish-amber with a thin, bubbly head. Lots of chewiness on the nose. Very rich with too much crystal malt and the hops seem a bit old.

Deep chunky copper and amber coloured body with a thick, soapy, antiquey tan colour - looks like a lot of Quebecois-based IPAs. Aroma of bright cascade hops, caramel, toffee, nuts, earth and a bit english-y. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a nice bright hop bite, some earthy malt behind with a little bit of grapefruit on the tail end. Aftertaste shows a lot of character and complexity with the nuts, earth, metal and bright hops all making a statement. Overall, a very nice IPA - perhaps one of the best I’ve had from the whole of Canada! I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Marche Des Sauvers in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for CA$3.79 on 27-June-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 01-December-2011.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of earthy hops with clear dry bitter notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some earthy hops with nice dry caramel malt base. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed though hardly standing out from the pack.

Cruchon 1,9L.

A lightly hazed dark copper amber IPA with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, a very pungeant and smooth IPA, citrussy hops, nice and floral. In mouth, a crisp malt with good c-hops, grapefruits, pungeant and smooth. Medium bodied. On tap at Brouhaha Nov. 23 2009.
