Bottle shared in London - thanks to Mitchy. Pours deep amber with a creamy topping. The nose smacks of booze, ripe berries, wood. Medium sweet flavour, some toffee, a little ripe apple, bread, leathery berries. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish, some woody notes, earth, toasted caramel, more leathery berries. Solid.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with eManu. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a thin off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, light yeasty, light dry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet with a crisp, light sweet sugary alcohol yeast warm alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Barrel aging adds so much to this scotch!

Sampled at the RBBWG 2017. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours rather clear amber/brown, smell is rich, red wine, oak. Taste is full, red fruits, oak, red wine. Not much left of the basebeer, but a nice taste instead of it. Great taste, but quality wise, this should not become a standard...

Thank you kraddel! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). Dark red amber, little tanned head. Nose is sour rotting red grape with excessive sugar, spoiled licorice & bark. Taste is soap, chemical rotting red grapes, soar, chemical mixed with lots of soap, sugar, overly sweet bark,... Quite a mess & below expectations. Body is fizzy soap, licorice, sweet red wine. It should be better than this I feel, they used the same barrels as used for the awesome Bush de Nuits, this doesn’t really work for me, hard to drink.

Bouteille 75cl de Bierhalle. No BB.
