While being already proud of our IPA, we desired a beer, even Bigger, even Stronger, even more Explosive in aromas ! That is our IIPA all about. An Imperial India Pale Ale called " Fouriaris ", a word which in Crete refers to a free, untamable & uncontrollable, wild animal. Fouriaris is massive, forceful and its hops are about to fascinate you!

13/I/17 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: 4/V/17, bottled: 4/VIII/16 (2017-39)
Clear orange beer, big solid creamy beige head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit fruity, lots of citrus, caramel, sweet malts, grapefruit, some canned pineapple. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sweet first, malty, some caramel, very bitter, little sourish, lots of alcohol noticeable, some grapefruit. Aftertaste: very bitter, bit medicinal, alcohol, sweet, caramel malts, bit chemical bitterness, some grapefruit, too resinous, too harsh of a bitterness to really make me like this. Maybe the age got something to do with it.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Gaff. Big thanks to our host for another of my favourite style of beer. Light haze on this golden beer, good pale cream colour head, Palate is airy and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, light creamy sweetness. Modest spice and a fair bit of orangey hop. Mellow orange peel bitterness. Mild floral vibe before a light and bitterish finish. Pretty good, hides the abv well.

Bottle split at Bespin, thanks to Lando, 08/12/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is peach, apricot, orange pith, bread dough, melon. Taste comprises caramel, light spice, apricot jam, citric kissed straw, light pine, toasted malt. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with hop bitterness. Mellow easy drinking DIPA .. not one I’d revisit but fine.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from Beergium. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Crackery pale malts in the nose, some pine needles, orange peel. Medium sweet flavour with crispy pale bread, dried pine, a little wood, grass. Medium to full bodied with massaging carbonation. Fingers with a little warmth, more dry pale malts, pine needles, rindy citrus. So so overall.

hazy orange colour, one incle, slightly yellowish dense off-white head; aroma of pine resin, overripe mango and other tropical fruits, some grape, caramel and hints of sauerkraut; taste is syrupy and at the same time bittery with piney-tropical fruity and grape notes, maybe some biscuit, too; good one
