The energy and audacity of the fixed gear courier inspired us to create Fixed Gear™, a big, bold American Red IPA. It pours a glaring crimson tone with a rocky white head and a brilliant floral-citrus aroma, thanks to an aggressive Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook dry hopping. Gratuitous amounts of dark caramel malts lend Fixed Gear™ its immodest, malty spine, while Chinook and Cascade hops impart its balanced citrus bite. This one’s got an attitude!

12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish copper with medium had. Aromas of fruit, toffee, and malts. Nice smooth mix of flavors: caramel, toasted malts, tropical fruit, and citrus. Not overly hopped. Easy to drink. Quite nice.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma of stale hops, slightly piney, and some honey-ish malt. Sweet malty flavor with caramel, stale hops and a bitter finish with a citric note. Medium-bodied. Too old.

At a tasting, thanks DSG, smallish head, quite clear very deep orange to red colour, grainy aroma with touches of citrus, pine, orange marmalade and biscuit, citrusy flavour with orange marmalde and biscuit, a bit too sweet but with enough strong bitterness to balance. Nice.

Bottle - Dark malts and some booze. Amber clear nice medium head. Nice bitterness and red malts, bit of an alcohol bite and little finish. Slight hop profile, a bit resinous but pretty mild. Not bad, a bit pedestrian.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber with a small fizzy beige head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, grass. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet with a light bitter finish. Medium body. Hoppier than many amber ales, which is a good thing IMO.
