The 16 in the name refers to the density of the beer (16° Plato). After Grotten Santé and Wipers Times 14, this is the third beer of Brouwerij Kazematten.

Bab 2016. Thnx to Tderoeck and 77ships for sharing the beers ! Pours unclear redbrown, small white head. Smell is malty, bit yeast. Taste is sharp, doughy-yeasts. Not very balanced. OK, bit too sweet, esp on the finish.

12 February 2017. 6/3/4/3/9=2.5. At Bruges Beer Fest 2017.
Pours hazy red-orange with a thin off-white head. The aroma contains red fruits, elderberry and sugar. It tastes light sweet, light bitter and light sour - indeed, not strong in any taste. Fizzy carbonation, creamy texture. Not that exciting.
3 April 2018. 75cl bottle - thanks to dad for sharing! I was enthusiastic about a rerate because I felt that this beer with subtle flavours got a bit lost in midst of all the others at Bruges Beer Fest 2017. Pours hazy red/amber with a big, foamy, off-white head, some lacing and floaties. Subtle aroma of sugar, elderberry, blueberry, strawberry, yeast & bread, something perfumey (elderflower). It tastes medium fruity sweet, light berry-like sour and light spicy/herbal bitter; bit tart & herbal in the finish. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Still very delicate but way better than I remembered. it's somewhat cute.

Thank you for sharing tderock + kraddel! Sampled @ Bruges Beer Festival 2017. Dark red brown, tanned head. Nose is overly sweet diabetes herbal fruit syrup, extremely & overly sweet, some butter. Taste s far too sweet red fruit, far too sweet diabetes red fruit sugar syrup. Body is cloying syrup. Elder flower & elder berry here are painfully sweet, not sure as to why? Didn’t like it.

5/II/17 - sample @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2017-146) Thanks to 77ships, kraddel and Rubin77 for sharing today's beers!
Cloudy amber to reddish brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of diacetyl, very buttery, sweet, overripe banana. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, overripe fruits, sugary, lots and lots of liquorish, aniseed, beh. Aftertaste: overripe fruits, banana, "weeïg" (sorry, there's not decent English word for this). Don't like it, too sweet plus diacetyl. Can't give this half of the points.
