Waxed bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento. Pours translucent dark copper (strong background light) with a transient beige head. Aroma is very pie spice, but the ginger may be stronger than common. Med + body. Flavor starts very pie spice, then gets rum and some wood. It’s very smooth, and the spice isn’t over the top. Fairly dry; spicy rather than bitter. Heat isn’t even noticeable. It’s rather tasty ale. Ginger didn’t turn out to be very strong, but that’s ok.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty, slight spiced and herbal. Sweet malty, light metallic and light spiced nutmeg/pumpkin. Sweet finish.

F: not so big, white, normal retention. C: golden, hazy. A: malt, pumpkin, rum, woody, hint of sour tones. T: malty, pumpkin sweet, caramel, woody, rum, herbal, spicy, medium body, good carbonation, not so good for me but ok, 65cl bottle shared at RBBSG V (2016), many thanks.

Sampled from 0.65 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Hazy, orangeish amber with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite spicy aroma of cinnamon, orange peel, some pumpkin and licorice root. Sweetish-malty, quite spicy taste of caramel, honey, orange peel, cinnamon, pumpkin and licorice root, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, very spicy finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Thank you for sharing Benzai! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG V. Hazy amber orange, patchy off-white head. Nose is sweet real pumpkin, vegetable sweet pumpkin with big sugar, cloying rum, not a successful as I had hoped. Taste is sweet syrup, marmalade, vegetable sweet pumpkin, sugar, caramel, faint soap, cloying overly sweet rum. Body is rum syrup & vegetable pumpkin. Decent, I feel like I would have like this idea a lot more with pumpkin spices instead of actual pumpkin character & maybe a different rum. That is a matter of preference & wrong expectations I suppose.

Sampled @ Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016. Bottle from trade, forgot by whom, my apologies, thanks though! Clear orangy color, small to average sized beige head. Aroma is typical for this kind of beer, a lot of herbs, spices, (Dutch) "speculaas en peperkoek, vooral speculaas". Taste malts, spice, herbs, pumpkin, rum, "speculaas en peperkoek met een tikje karamel". Well, drinkable I guess, but not one I love. Not my kind of beer.

Taste: sweet start, alcohol, bit sugary, lots of caramel, pretty spicy, bitter, cloves, bit unpleasant. Aftertaste: hoppy, spicy, bit vegetal, pumpkin and it's spices, meh.

65cl bottle @RBBSG2016. Leicht trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Gewürzen, rotes malz, Kürbis, Zimt. Geschmack nach Kürbis, Zimt, rotes malz, rote Früchte, okay!

Pours unclear amber, no real head. Smell is full, pumpkin. Taste is full, bitter, pumpkin, natural, bit malty. Nice and in balance , if you like pumpkin this Would be a Nice thing to try.

On tap at the Boise BP Reddish Amber thin light tan head teriffic boozy sweet pumpkin aroma. Carmelo malty flavors and pumpkin and a little holiday spice. Big smooth and tasty
