A core range beer available in Keg and Bottle and occasionally cask. An Amber Ale with 18% Rye malt to add a dry and biscuit quality to the beer. Rich malts add caramel character and Chinook hops add citrus, pine and spice while Cascade adds more spice and citrus with added floral notes. Clean US05 yeast is used to allow the hops to shine through.

Half pint at Mother Kelly's, pours a clear... brick red (no pun intended) with some sticky, white head. Nose has malt, orange, heavy soap and herbs. Flavor has big bitterness from orange and soap, pine and spruce now too, malt as well. Lotta flavor, I just don't totally know if I'm digging it. Basically full bodied and bitter in the finish.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Kris Wines. Pours clear amber-gold with a dense, creamy tan head. The aroma has notes of damp earth, toasted pine, grains, old orange rind. Light sweet flavour with more damp earth character, soggy leaves, old pine, grains, some bitter grass, light metallic notes. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation and velvety texture. Finishes with continuing earthy notes, bitter leaves, some lightly tangy berries, mellow grass and pine, wood, toasted grains, bitter husk, leather. Unfortunately, it’s really not very enjoyable.

330ml bottle, many thanks to Scopey. Frothy beige head leaving spotty lacing behind. Clear amber coloured body, a slight haze to the last pour. Caramel, bread and orange on the nose. Fine blended taste of brown malts like bread, nuts and caramel, together with red oranges. Decent malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. A very well partner to my New Year lunch (Tromsø 03.01.2016).

Cock Tavern. Cask. Hazy deep amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Thin malts with even thinner malt cream. Whisper of smoke. Orangey hops, subtle tangerine underneath. Mild red berry fruits. Light spice. Dry finish with a smoky bitter linger. Interesting! A grower.

Keg at the brewery. It pours hazy red-amber with a small white head. The nose is rich, juicy, pink grapefruit, orange peel, pine and varnish. The taste is bitter, pine, grapefruit, varnish, lemon peel, pepper, red berry, touch of caramel and brown bread with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, bitter and fruity. High drinkability. Really rather great.
