(Thx!) Sampled draft (twice) @ Tilquin English Beer Festival 2016. Very dark amber, off-white head. Nose is hard to describe, thick vinous, oak, overripe fruits & thick spices. Big sour, odd berries, spiece,s lemon, oak, wine, spirits, sour grapes, more spices, rhubarb,.. Chewy & big vinegar body. Grew on me, hard to pinpoint, the spices, barrels etc. that I am getting, big spices, big vinegar & interesting barrels, plenty of fruit & more sweet spices on top.

Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, day2.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - cloudy amber to red. Decent thin head. Nose - fruit wine and wood. Taste - redcurrants, generally vinous. More wood. Palate - close to medium bodied with a long lean tangy texture that runs all the way to the end. Overall - a style somewhere between Flemish red and brown. Love it.

Cask Pub & Kitchen. Keg. Light haze on this red - amber beer, no real head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Sour cherry and tart lemon. Vinegary undertone. The lemon starts to turn acid. Light dry finish. After the lovely drinkability of the Summer Blend this is disappointing, too harsh.

Keg at CPK - London. Pours clear amber-gold with minimal head. Tart berries in the nose, touches of vinegar, lemon, leather. Light sweet flavor with strong acidity, some lemon juice, peach, melon, berries. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Sharp and acidic on the finish, with mild woody dryness, further tart berries. A bit sharp but good overall.

Keg at Brewdog Soho. Hazed onion skin / brown coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is funky, brown bread crusts , caramelised onion, malt vinegar, green apple. Flavour is composed of tart lacto, tangy green apple, tart lemon, brown bread base. Palate is semi sweet and sour, rounded medium body, highish carbonation, drying finish. Nice complexity and good clean sourness.
