Bottle from a shop in Durbuy, many thanks Anke! Pours hazy brown with a big, lasting, frothy, beige head. Aroma of candi sugar, burnt caramel, caramelised peanut, popcorn even, 'syrop de Liège', candied banana & plum, grain, vague iron. Taste is medium sugary sweet, caramel and/or candi sugar next to dried plum & banana in dough, balanced by a medium herbal bitterness with green tea, spices, sourish brambleberry, but a tad metallic too. Dryish, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, lingering candi sugar, sourish berries, iron again, luckily some warming brandy-like alcohol to wash it all down. Medium body, thin syrupy texture, soft carbonation. A bit hit-and-miss but still likeable.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ ZBF 2016. (Thank you for sharing RB people!) Dark brown, tanned bubbles. Nose is big sweet licorice, herbal, nasty leaves, wet leaves, wet herbs. Taste is dull soap, very empty beer, plaster, licorice,.. Empty vaguely licorice, herbal, soap beer. Meh. Didn’t expect much from this brewery.
